BLOCK TEST TUBE HEATER, CSB/COD THERMOREACTOR
For the Tube test digestion of: COD (150°C), TOC (120°C), Total Chromium (100°C),
Total Nitrogen (100°C), Total Phosphate (100°C)
Chemical digestion of samples is required for the photometric determination of
COD, TOC, total phosphate and total nitrogen.
The required temperatures and reaction time can be selected by using the
membrane keypad of the reactor. The unit works at three different temperatures
and three pre-set reaction times. When digestion is complete, the reactor
automatically switches off and gives a corresponding LED indication with short beep
alarm.

The reactor is fitted with 24 holes for 16mm diameter vials in the aluminium block.
With the voltage switch on the back 220V and 110V power supply are selectable.

BLOCK TEST TUBE HEATER, COD THERMOREACTOR
The thermo-reactor is an easy to use test tube heater with the capacity to perform
up to 25 simultaneous digestions for chemical oxygen demand. Complete with a 3
hour countdown timer, it can be used for timed or infinity testing procedures.
Robust and durable, the main body is machined from a single block of metal.
Temperature within the block is controlled using a sophisticated electronic
thermostat and can be verified by placing a thermometer in the temperature well
provided. The reactor is equipped with 6 pre-defined and 2 user-defined °C profiles.
Dedicated temperature profiles for COD and total phosphorus reactions are pre- C14-6600
set to 150°C. The total nitrogen analysis temperature is pre-set to 105°C.
In adjustable temperature mode (50 to 150°C), the heater can be used for other
samples that require different digestion temperatures.
For optimum safety, the block heater should always be used with a safety shield
C14-6660 or other physical barrier placed between samples under test and
operator.
