HEATING MANTLES

HEATING MANTLES, ELECTROTHERMAL, EM/CE SERIES
Features vented case which creates a unique air flow, ensuring the housing stays
safe to touch when in use. The outer housing is of chemical resistant
polypropylene, with indicator lights for “Heater On” and “Power On” and a
regulator knob with arbitrary scale for temperature control. A built-in power
controller regulates the temperature from ambient to 450ºC. The flexible, coiled
heating element ensures minimum risk of flask breakage and is suspended within a
thermal insulating cartridge to provide maximum heat transfer and support. The
whole heating cartridge can be quickly and easily replaced. A stainless steel
grounding screen provides extra protection against shock should spillage or flask
breakage occur. Five litre mantles have two heating elements, upper and lower.
The upper element can be switched on/off. Also features support rod clamps for
12.5mm diameter rods. CE marked. For 220 - 240V a.c. single phase supplies.

POWER CONTROLLER
C44-1100
Bimetallic element device which automatically provides compensation for change
in supply voltage. The precise scaling enables the output setting to be repeated and
the regulator provides excellent control of heating mantles. Current rating 5A
continuous, 10A intermittent. In metal case 120 x 100 x 80mm high, suitable for
retort rod, wall or bench mounting. For 200 - 240V a.c. single phase supplies.

General construction as EM/CE mantles. Magnetic stirrer base with stepless speed
control up to approximately 150rev/min. Auto-reverse stirring facility can be
selected. Fitted with safety earthed (grounded) screen. Built-in time
proportional arbitrarily scaled controller. Indicator lights for "power-on" and
"heater-on". Maximum element temperature 450ºC. Support rod clamp for 12.5mm
diameter rods (C44­2650 has 3 clamps). Supplied without magnetic stirrer bar.
