SURFACE TENSION BALANCE

SURFACE TENSION BALANCE
A special torsion balance designed for measuring the surface tension and
interfacial tension of liquids. A wire ring or glass plate is drawn away from the
surface or interface under investigation and the tension so created may be read off
directly from the balance scale. The balance is scaled 0 to 0.12 newtons per metre
(1 newton per metre = 1000 dynes per centimetre) with 240 equal divisions, and 0
to 1g, with 500 equal divisions of 2mg, accuracy ±0.4%. Complete with fitted case
of all accessories.
